We stayed in Ocala in May of 2025 and went in search of a unique place with good coffee for breakfast—we were excited to find The Brown Dog Coffee House nearby! And they graciously accepted our brown dog, Jack, who was with us! The food and coffee were excellent and the unique brown dog theme made the menu fun. The decor was reminiscent of a British library—-interesting and comfortable. We loved it and will be back!

Great coffee and quiet atmosphere. I got a cookie butter latte. Very flavorful and great location in downtown Ocala.

New place in Ocala! Good coffee and ice cream! Please add some food (breakfast/pastry) too… I love that it’s open on Sunday’s cause all other places are close! Come to check it out

Food was really good and fairly reasonable. Staff was welcoming and I was able to have a great conversation. Odd fact, they have Irn Bru available at the location...iykyk. I just had some simple egg bites and bacon. Quick service to the table after I ordered at the counter. Could see this being a regular go to place!

We’re having the roof and AC replaced at our office. I came here to have a meeting with new teammates. The atmosphere, location, and staff were perfect! The loft is accommodating for a team of 4-6 comfortably.

While visiting from Maine, my husband and I stopped in for a coffee. Although pricey, the cold brew with hazelnut and the Valentine's special we're just perfect for walking around beautiful historic downtown Ocala. The barista even offered a pup cup for our little Yorkie! Great customer service!!

Brown Dog Coffeehouse is here to stay! The atmosphere invites you to read, work or visit with a friend in an open yet cozy environment. Too bad it doesn’t snow here in Ocala, because the Basso Nova Christmas jazz evokes that classic feel of a cozy place to sit, stay and play no matter the weather. The coffee is well crafted by their friendly staff. They are very inviting and accommodating. They have a great loose-leaf tea menu, and vast bagel menu, as well as gelato- which looks amazing! Several free public parking surrounds the property, so just circle around and you’ll find a spot! Did I mention the games? They have a sideboard with fun games to choose from and each table has a wooden ring game to while away the time. Bravo, Brown Dog- we are happy you are here in Ocala. 🐾💕

Visiting my fiancés family in town this week, and stopped in for the first time! Their options are wonderful, and the space is so cozy! A wonderful addition to downtown Ocala! We had a smoothie, a refresher, and an Italian cream soda. My personal favorite was the mandarin cream soda! Absolutely recommend!!!

I got three scoops of gelato. Flavors vanilla, coffee chip, and banana dulce de leche, and they were all delicious! Served in a cute bowl with a handle! The staff was helpful and kind and the service was quick. The atmosphere is cozy and clean. They have books and games for you to enjoy. The music is jazzy and Christmassy at this time. The chairs are comfortable and the fireplace, although fake, is delightful. I definitely recommend checking this place out!
